Minnesota Man Indicted for Leading Major Drug Trafficking Operation with Mexican Cartels

Clinton James Ward and 14 others face charges for distributing methamphetamine, fentanyl, and cocaine in Minnesota.

Ward allegedly partnered with Sinaloa and Jalisco New Generation cartels to build a sophisticated drug network.
Authorities seized over 1,600 pounds of methamphetamine, 30,000 counterfeit fentanyl pills, and $2.5 million in proceeds.
The operation, known as 'Operation Ice Bear,' involved more than 50 arrests and extensive law enforcement collaboration.
Ward fled to Mexico in 2019 after a drug-related arrest and was captured and extradited earlier this year.
The charges include conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and engaging in a continuing criminal enterprise.
