Minnesota Man Arrested for Murder of Pregnant Los Angeles Model Found in Refrigerator

The suspect, on probation for narcotics offenses, faces charges of murder and torture in the September 2023 killing of Maleesa Mooney.

Magnus Daniel Humphrey, 41, was arrested in Minnesota for the murder of Los Angeles model Maleesa Mooney, 31, whose body was found in her refrigerator in September 2023.
Mooney, who was two months pregnant, suffered blunt force trauma and was bound and gagged. Traces of cocaine and alcohol were found in her system.
Humphrey, on federal probation for narcotics offenses, faces charges of murder and torture. The motive and his connection to Mooney remain unclear.
Surveillance footage showed an unidentified man entering Mooney's apartment building with plastic bags using her key fob, days before her body was discovered.
Mooney was remembered as a vibrant model and real estate agent, excited about her pregnancy, by her sister Jourdin Pauline.
