The Frost jumped to an early 2-0 lead in the first period with quick goals from Heise and rookie Brooke McQuigge, who scored her third of the season.
Boston's Hilary Knight and Susanna Tapani each scored to close the gap, but Minnesota responded swiftly with goals from Heise, Katy Knoll, and Kendall Coyne Schofield.
Kendall Coyne Schofield, the league's leading scorer, added her sixth goal of the season and assisted on both of Heise's goals, increasing her league-leading point total to 14.
The victory moves Minnesota back into first place in the PWHL standings, tied with the Montreal Victoire, as they prepare to host Toronto on Tuesday before the league's international break.
