Minneapolis Teen Sentenced to Over 30 Years for Mall of America Shooting

Taeshawn Adams-Wright received a lengthy prison term for the 2022 killing of Johntae Hudson during a chaotic altercation

Adams-Wright pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 30 years and seven months.
The shooting occurred on December 23, 2022, after a fight between two groups of teens at the Mall of America.
Security footage showed Adams-Wright and others chasing Hudson through a Nordstrom store before shooting him multiple times.
Hudson's mother expressed relief at the sentence, though she felt it was not long enough.
One of the other alleged shooters, Lavon Longstreet, is scheduled to go on trial next week.
