Minitap Raises $4.1 Million as Its Mobile AI Agent Tops AndroidWorld

Reproducible benchmark runs, paired with an open-source framework, underpin early pilots targeting days-long feature cycles.

Overview

  • The seed round was co-led by Moxxie Ventures and Mercuri with participation from EWOR, Tekton Ventures, Amigos Venture Capital, and several unicorn founders.
  • Minitap published reproducible AndroidWorld results that outperformed entries from Google DeepMind and other major labs, supported by its open-source framework, mobile-use.
  • The company says its agent writes mobile code, runs it on real devices, compares screens to Figma designs, tests interactions, fixes failures, and ships features autonomously.
  • Founders Nicolas Dehandschoewercker and Luc Mahoux-Nakamura, both 23, grew up in Burgundy, France and now lead a small team with most engineers in Paris while they split time between California and France.
  • Minitap is working with early design partners to refine pricing and deployment, and reports early deployments cutting development from six weeks to days with up to 10x faster feature launches.
