  • At the 13th Passport Seva Divas in New Delhi, Minister of State Pabitra Margherita presented certificates of recognition to Andhra Pradesh and J&K Police for 2024-25 passport verification excellence.
  • Andhra Pradesh Police processed 625,000 passport verifications within three days during the financial year, earning the agency’s best-performing accolade from the MEA.
  • J&K Police finalized 134,219 passport application verifications between April 2024 and March 2025, reflecting an exceptional disposal rate and commitment to timely service.
  • Andhra Pradesh also received the Institutional Performance Award (Postal) for the Guntur Post Office Passport Seva Kendra and the Individual Recognition Award for the Vijayawada Regional Passport Officer.
  • Superintendent A. Ramadevi accepted the award on behalf of Andhra Pradesh Police and DIG Rayees Mohammad Bhat received the honour for J&K Police.
