Overview

  • Thirteen contracts totalling Rs 1,981.90 crore were finalised under a sanctioned Rs 2,000 crore outlay to strengthen counter-terror operations
  • Procurements were executed through fast-track procedures to cut acquisition timelines for mission-critical capabilities
  • Key systems include Integrated Drone Detection and Interdiction, Low Level Lightweight Radars, and Very Short Range Air Defence launchers and missiles
  • The package also covers Remotely Piloted Aerial Vehicles, VTOL loitering munitions, multi-role drones, Quick Reaction Fighting Vehicles, night-vision sights, bulletproof jackets and ballistic helmets
  • All equipment is fully developed and produced in India, reflecting a push for self-reliance in response to escalating cross-border threats
