Overview

• Across the Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 window, synchronized ‘Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath’ shramdaan events were held nationwide on September 25 by ministries, states and local bodies.
• Defence Minister Rajnath Singh led a drive at the Army Headquarters Unit Run Canteen, taking the Swachhata pledge, planting a sapling, honouring Safai Mitras and flagging a Safai Run with 100 NCC cadets.
• At Kalindi Kunj on the Yamuna, Union Jal Shakti Minister C. R. Patil led a one-hour cleanup that collected roughly 2,500 kg of waste.
• Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inspected Chandni Chowk and directed immediate fixes including drain cleaning, streetlight repairs, encroachment reduction and twice-daily sweeping during the festive period.
• Railway-led actions included Southern Railway’s outreach at Ernakulam Junction and Western Railway’s cleaning at Mumbai Central, while NDMC said about 10,000 employees joined a citywide shramdaan.
