Mini Unveils Paul Smith Edition for New Cooper at Japan Mobility Show

The design-led model applies Paul Smith’s signature palette across 3-door, 5-door, plus Cabrio Coopers, excluding John Cooper Works.

Overview

  • The Mini Paul Smith Edition was officially revealed in Tokyo and will be offered with electric and combustion powertrains across most Cooper body styles, with John Cooper Works variants excluded.
  • Three exterior finishes are available—Statement Grey, Inspired White and Midnight Black Metallic—with Nottingham Green accents on the mirrors, octagonal grille and wheel hub covers.
  • Roof choices include a discreet Signature Stripe in Nottingham Green on the driver’s-side rear or Jet Black stripes of varying widths and finishes, while the Cabrio retains a black soft top.
  • Cabin details feature black textured woven surfaces, Vescin Nightshade Blue sport seats with knit zones, a textile steering-wheel band with colorful stitching, three Paul Smith screen backgrounds, a “Hello” door projection and a hand-drawn rabbit on the floor mat.
  • Edition-specific hardware includes 18-inch Night Spoke alloys in Dark Steel Flash, MINI logos in Black Blue and Paul Smith’s handwritten signature on the rear strip, reflecting a collaboration that dates to 1998.
