Overview
- The Machina uses the petrol JCW’s 2.0-liter turbo (228 hp) and pairs rally-style bonnet lamps, widened arches, a diffuser and Can-Am rear wing with a stripped cabin featuring a hydraulic handbrake and five-point harnesses.
- The Skeg reinterprets the electric JCW with semi-transparent fiberglass panels claimed to cut body weight by 15 percent, surf-oriented storage, neoprene bucket seats and a flex-tip roof spoiler; output is quoted at 255 hp with an estimated 0–62 mph of about 5.9 seconds.
- Both concepts keep standard JCW chassis and performance hardware with no additional tuning, and each carries a large roof “X” to mark the Mini × Deus collaboration.
- Mini says neither car is slated for production, though the company signals select cues could influence future special-edition models.
- The pair debuts at IAA Mobility in Munich on September 6 with a Mini × Deus apparel collection launching September 8 as part of the pavilion showcase through September 14.
