Overview
- In a brief virtual session Tuesday, Judge Michelle Weber extended a full order of protection that bars Reedus from contacting the complainant by phone, text, social media or through third parties.
- The judge instructed Reedus to leave immediately if he sees the woman at their apartment building and warned that even responding to outreach could violate the order and lead to arrest.
- Prosecutors have filed five counts: assault, criminal obstruction of breathing, assault recklessly causing physical injury, aggravated harassment and harassment, to which Reedus has pleaded not guilty.
- Police say they responded around 8:40 a.m. Saturday to W. 16th St. and Eighth Ave., found a 33-year-old woman with minor neck and leg injuries and transported her to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
- A criminal complaint alleges Reedus applied pressure to the woman’s neck, struck her leg and threw her to the ground, causing bruising and pain, while he remains released on his own recognizance ahead of an Oct. 8 in-person hearing.
