Overview

• The calendar change was formalized by Viceministerial Resolution No. 097-2025-MINEDU adjusting both ascenso and nombramiento processes.
• For ascenso, the Prueba Nacional is on November 23, with preliminary results on December 5, an appeals window from December 6 to 12, and final results on December 18.
• The ascenso decentralized phase runs through December 2025 to February 2026, winners are to be published on February 5 and promotions take effect on March 1, 2026.
• For nombramiento 2025–2026, the national test is on November 23, the decentralized phase runs January to April 2026, results post on May 7, adjudication is May 14–20, and appointments are effective August 1, 2026.
• Minedu will open 50 evaluation venues nationwide and plans for more than 90,000 participating teachers, with the largest groups in Lima Metropolitana, Cajamarca, Puno, Junín and La Libertad.
