Overview
- Under Ministerial Resolution No. 556-2024-MINEDU, the October recess applies nationwide to public schools from Monday the 13th through Friday the 17th.
- Classes on Friday, Oct. 10 will take place normally in both public and private schools, according to the ministry.
- There will be no classes in public schools on Wednesday, Oct. 15 because it falls within the scheduled break, despite a planned national strike that day.
- During the recess, state-school teachers are required to attend their institutions to carry out planning, organization and related academic tasks.
- The fourth lective block runs from Oct. 20 to Dec. 19, which marks the end of the 2025 school year for public schools.
