Actor Holt McCallany hints at a potential revival of the acclaimed Netflix series, despite acknowledging its unlikelihood.

Actor Holt McCallany, who played FBI Agent Bill Tench in the Netflix series 'Mindhunter', has revealed in recent interviews that director David Fincher is considering resurrecting the show for a third season.
Despite the show's cancellation in 2019 due to high production costs and insufficient audience numbers, McCallany stated that if the show returns, he will be part of it.
McCallany also acknowledged that a third season is 'probably unlikely' as 'it’s been a few years now'.
David Fincher had previously announced in February 2023 that the show was too expensive to continue and did not attract enough of an audience to justify the investment for a third season.
Despite the cancellation, the show has maintained a strong fan base, with a petition for a third season gathering thousands of signatures.
