• Minda Corporation and Japan’s Toyodenso Co. announced on June 11 the formation of a joint venture to offer end-to-end design, development and marketing of switches for two-wheelers, passenger cars and other automotive segments in India.
• The venture will operate under a 60:40 shareholding structure, giving Minda a majority stake and Toyodenso contributing its advanced engineering expertise.
• The new entity has already secured orders from domestic customers, underlining early demand for its advanced switch solutions.
• A greenfield manufacturing plant in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, is set to commence operations by the second half of fiscal 2026-27.
