Milwaukee County to Open Two Disaster Recovery Centers Wednesday

Staffed by FEMA with state and county partners, the centers provide one-on-one help with applications, documentation, appeals.

Overview

  • Locations: McNair Elementary School, 4950 N. 24th St., Milwaukee, and Wauwatosa City Hall, 7725 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa.
  • Hours: Monday–Thursday 9 a.m.–7 p.m., Friday–Saturday 9 a.m.–5 p.m., closed Sunday, with walk-ins accepted and no appointments required.
  • The Wauwatosa center operates through Friday, Oct. 10, then services shift to a new site to be announced later.
  • Residents do not need to visit a center to apply for FEMA aid; applications are available at DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling 800-621-3362.
  • SBA Business Recovery Center: Summit Place, 6737 W. Washington St., West Allis, open Mon–Fri 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. and Sat 9 a.m.–1 p.m.; SBA loan deadline is Nov. 10, 2025, and the FEMA Individual Assistance deadline is Nov. 12, 2025.
