  • Around 2.6 million municipal and 132,000 federal TVöD employees have yet to see the retroactive 3.0 percent salary increase from April applied to their pay.
  • Several unions report that final editorial negotiations on contract texts only concluded in July, delaying the issuance of adjustment orders to local payroll offices.
  • The Komba union in Hesse and other authorities say they aim to include the back pay in August 2025 paychecks, but schedules still vary across jurisdictions.
  • From July 2025, shift workers received enhanced monthly allowances with the Wechselschichtzulage rising to €200 and the Schichtzulage to €100.
  • Under the April agreement, employees will be able to convert part of their annual special payment into up to three extra days off starting in 2026 and will gain an additional vacation day in January 2027, while stationary-sector staff receive higher special payments instead.
