Overview

• The city will accept applications for mayor from Sept. 30 through Oct. 14.
• The City Council plans candidate interviews on Nov. 3, with a vote to select a replacement and a swearing-in set for Nov. 10; the appointee will serve the final two years of the term.
• A public retirement reception is scheduled for Nov. 5 at Millcreek City Hall.
• Silvestrini, 71, recently underwent two surgeries and was diagnosed with leukemia and a “hopefully benign” pancreatic tumor.
• As Millcreek’s first mayor, he helped lead incorporation, launched the Millcreek Promise initiative, and served in regional leadership roles, including chairing the Central Wasatch Commission.
