Overview

• Victoria Police say the Christian College Geelong bus appeared to fail to negotiate a left-hand turn from Friend in Hand Road onto the Hamilton Highway at about 8:20 a.m. Wednesday before rolling.
• There were 28 students on board; more than 20 were taken to hospital, including a 16-year-old boy airlifted with serious but non‑life‑threatening injuries, with some children transferred to the Royal Children’s Hospital.
• The 76-year-old driver was discharged from hospital, interviewed, and is assisting police after passing preliminary drug and alcohol tests, with further analyses pending.
