Overview
- During the sold-out 60th edition of the festival, Javier Milei joined Chaqueño Palavecino onstage to perform “Amor salvaje” and publicly thanked Córdoba for helping elect him.
- He arrived near midnight via Ambrosio Taravella airport and a helicopter transfer to the José Hernández amphitheater, accompanied by Chamber of Deputies president Martín Menem and other allies.
- Organizers expected around 30,000 attendees; Milei sang the chorus and bridge, joked that he had “ruined” the song, and received Palavecino’s lighthearted “approved.”
- The visit made him the third sitting Argentine president to attend Jesús María, a gesture that stands out given his previous criticism of state-backed provincial festivals.
- After the brief stop, his itinerary called for travel to Asunción for the Mercosur–EU agreement signing, then onward to the World Economic Forum in Davos.
