Overview

• The Tribunal for Minors, with delegated judge Ciro Iacomino, removed parental responsibility and assigned custody of three located children to the Municipality of Milan.
• The three minors will remain in the protected community where they were placed under emergency measures.
• A fourth child linked to the case remains untraceable and is reported as possibly abroad, with the same custody order to take effect once found.
• The children are 11 to 13 years old and therefore non-imputable under Italian law; parents were heard by the court, including a mother arrested on prior sentences and two fathers escorted from prison, while another mother has not yet been found.
• The order follows the August 11 incident in via Saponaro in which a car stolen from French tourists struck and killed 71-year-old Cecilia De Astis.
