Overview
- After more than 11 hours of debate, councillors voted 24–20 to approve a €197 million transfer of the stadium and surrounding site.
- The sale grants the clubs control of just over 28 hectares to build a 71,500-seat arena west of the current ground, with Foster + Partners and MANICA set to design the project.
- Inter and Milan will continue playing at the Meazza until around 2031, after which the old structure will be largely demolished for parkland, offices and entertainment facilities.
