Milan and Inter Complete San Siro Purchase, Clearing Way for New 71,500-Seat Stadium

The deal unlocks a privately funded rebuild slated to begin after the 2026 Olympic opening at the current venue.

  • The clubs bought the stadium and surrounding land from the City of Milan for €197 million via Stadio San Siro S.p.A.
  • Foster + Partners and Manica have been appointed to design the replacement as part of a 281,000-square-meter regeneration plan.
