- Foster + Partners and MANICA have been appointed to design a 71,500-capacity stadium and a wider regeneration of roughly 28 hectares west of the current ground.
- Works are targeted to start in the first half of 2027 and finish by 2031, aligning with Euro 2032 timelines that require works to begin by March 2027 and venue proposals by October next year.
- The existing San Siro will host the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics opening ceremony on February 6 and will largely be demolished afterward, with a heritage section of the second tier retained.
