Mike Leigh's upcoming project will begin filming in 2025 under the working title 'Untitled 2025,' with plot and casting details yet to be revealed.
The film will reunite Leigh with production partners Bleecker Street, Cornerstone, Studiocanal, and Film4, with additional financing from Desmar.
Georgina Lowe, a longtime collaborator, will produce the film through Leigh's Thin Man Films production company.
This marks Leigh's first film without his longtime cinematographer Dick Pope, who passed away recently after decades of collaboration.
Leigh's previous film, 'Hard Truths,' garnered critical acclaim and multiple awards but was notably overlooked by the Oscars.
