MiHoYo Sets Phased End for Genshin Impact PS4 Edition

HoYoVerse will sunset the PS4 version of Genshin Impact in three stages starting with its removal from the PlayStation Store on September 10, 2025.

Overview

  • The PS4 edition will be delisted on September 10, 2025, though players who downloaded it previously can still re-download from their library.
  • All in-game purchases on PS4 will be disabled on February 25, 2026, removing microtransactions from both the PlayStation Store and the in-game shop.
  • Full update support and login access for the PS4 version will end on April 8, 2026, at which point the game will no longer receive patches or allow sign-ins.
  • Beginning December 17, 2025, PS4 users will see in-game prompts to bind their accounts via email, QR code or other methods for migration to other platforms.
  • The PlayStation 5 edition remains unaffected, and minimum and recommended PC and mobile specifications will rise with the upcoming 6.0 “Song of the Welkin Moon” update.
