Overview

• Kajukumar Rajendra Ram, a 21-year-old migrant worker from Uttar Pradesh, was arrested for the alleged murder of power loom owner Farhad Eklakh Ahmad Shaikh in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra.
• Shaikh was reported missing on April 12, and his decomposed body was discovered on April 16 in an isolated area in Karivli, Bhiwandi.
• Police used CCTV footage showing Shaikh riding with the suspect on his motorcycle toward Karivli to trace the crime and locate Ram in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh.
• During interrogation, Ram alleged that Shaikh had abused him and demanded sexual favors, which he claimed led to the fatal attack using a stone and sharp weapon.
• Authorities revealed that Ram used Shaikh's mobile phone to send a ransom message to one of the victim’s family members before his arrest.
