Overview

  • Seana Mary Kerr posted a series of social media claims between September 2020 and December 2021 alleging vaccines attacked unborn babies and labelled Covid-19 a ‘Trojan horse’.
  • In August 2020 she approached a pregnant woman in a shop, advised against wearing a face mask and warned that a flu jab could cause stillbirth.
  • The NMC panel concluded her views risked seriously undermining public confidence in the profession during the pandemic and placed patients at heightened risk.
  • Tribunal findings state her unsolicited clinical advice inflicted significant emotional distress on the patient and her family and judged her fitness to practise still impaired.
  • Kerr showed no remorse, failed to engage with the NMC since June 2022 and has been permanently removed from the register following a prior 12-month suspension.
