Midis Reports 4.6 Million Services Delivered to Remote Sierra and Selva Communities

The ministry highlighted its reach at a Huaraz field event, stressing interagency coordination for reliable service in remote communities.

  • The total equals 86% of the 2025 goal, with more than 653,000 residents in 22 regions accessing state services closer to home.
  • Across 516 Tambos, over 2.8 million services were provided, enabling 528,000 people in hard‑to‑reach areas to complete medical, identity, education and legal procedures locally.
  • PIAS river, lake and air platforms delivered more than 1.7 million services at 405 points, assisting 124,760 people in operations run with the Navy and Air Force.
  • Movitambos completed 8,705 safe school transport trips in 2025 for 305 students in Loreto, Ucayali and Junín, supporting regular attendance.
  • At the Independencia district fair in Huaraz, officials showcased Áncash coverage including Juntos for 35,931 households, Pensión 65 for 48,075 older adults, Contigo for 5,561 people with severe disabilities, and 19 Tambos that have delivered 150,000 services this year.
