Overview
- A red tractor and baler were driven into a Priory Road home shortly after 1am on May 9, leaving the vehicle lodged in the front wall.
- The tractor remained jammed in the brickwork until it was removed on May 12, neighbours were evacuated as a precaution and no one was injured because the house was unoccupied.
- Cleveland Police treated the event as deliberate, preserved the scene, carried out enquiries and increased patrols to reassure the local community.
- Police charged 28‑year‑old Nathan Blagg of Addington Drive with criminal damage with intent to endanger life and aggravated vehicle taking and he appeared at Teesside Magistrates' Court on July 8.
- Blagg did not enter a plea at magistrates and the case was sent to Teesside Crown Court with a next hearing listed for August 5 as inquiries continue into the incident.
