Overview

• Prosecutors told a judge that during a June 28 family dinner, Horsman stabbed 66-year-old Paul Pomerleau 17 times and then doused him with lighter fluid.
• At his June 30 arraignment in Wareham District Court, a judge ordered Horsman to be held without bail.
• Pomerleau had been in a long-term relationship with Horsman’s mother and had clashed with Horsman over his living arrangement.
• Officers found Horsman less than 1,000 feet from the Fairview Street home and arrested him without incident.
• Pomerleau was taken to Morton Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
