Microsoft Unveils Researcher and Analyst AI Agents for 365 Copilot

Microsoft has introduced two advanced AI agents, Researcher and Analyst, for its Microsoft 365 Copilot platform, leveraging OpenAI models and proprietary tools.

Analyst functions as a data scientist, utilizing OpenAI's o3-mini model to analyze raw data, generate Python-based insights, and visualize business outcomes.
Both agents will be available to Microsoft 365 Copilot license holders starting in April through the Frontier program, which offers early access to experimental features.
