Microsoft to Retire WordPad, Cortana, and Tips in Windows 11 Update

The upcoming Windows 11 24H2 update will phase out three long-standing apps, introducing Copilot as a new AI-powered assistant.

WordPad, a staple since Windows 95, will no longer receive updates and will be removed.
Cortana will remain integrated in other Microsoft applications despite being discontinued as a standalone app.
The Tips app will continue to update until its removal, providing users with information on new features.
Copilot, an AI assistant, will replace Cortana and offer enhanced functionalities similar to ChatGPT.
The update will also bring support for Wi-Fi 7 and new hardware requirements.
