Microsoft to Discontinue Paint 3D in November

The app, introduced in 2017 as a modern successor to MS Paint, will be removed from the Microsoft Store and cease updates.

Paint 3D was part of the Windows 10 Creators Update, aimed at enhancing 3D modeling and creative features.
Despite its advanced tools, Paint 3D never gained the popularity of the original MS Paint, which remains widely used.
Microsoft has incorporated many of Paint 3D's features, including layers and AI tools, into the classic Paint app.
The decision to retire Paint 3D aligns with Microsoft's broader strategy to streamline its app offerings in Windows 11.
Users will still be able to use Paint 3D if already installed, but no new downloads or updates will be available after November 4, 2024.
