Microsoft Tests Windows 11 'Shared Audio' for Two Bluetooth Devices at Once

Early access is limited to Copilot+ PCs with LE Audio accessories via Insider Preview Build 26220.7051.

Overview

  • The feature is live for Windows Insiders on the Dev and Beta channels in Build 26220.7051.
  • Shared Audio broadcasts one PC audio stream to two Bluetooth endpoints using LE Audio without splitters or extra hardware.
  • Support is restricted to Copilot+ hardware, with initial compatibility on Surface models using Snapdragon X, and accessories must support Bluetooth LE Audio.
  • To try it, enroll a Copilot+ PC in the Windows Insider Program, update to the latest build, pair two LE Audio devices, then enable the Shared audio (preview) toggle in Quick Settings.
  • Microsoft has not announced a public rollout date, and GB News reports additional Copilot+ models from Samsung and Microsoft are listed for later availability.
