Overview

  • Xbox Insiders on Game Pass Core or Standard can now stream cloud-playable games included with their plan or select titles they own.
  • The test introduces first-time access to PC versions of select Game Pass titles for these tiers through the Xbox app on Windows and Windows handhelds.
  • Outside this beta, cloud streaming still requires Game Pass Ultimate at $19.99 per month, while Standard is $14.99 and Core is $9.99.
  • Participation requires joining the Xbox Insider program and playing via xbox.com/play for cloud titles or the Xbox app on Windows for the added PC games.
  • Microsoft has recently signaled interest in cheaper or dedicated cloud options, with a potential ad-supported variant discussed but not announced.
