Microsoft Taps Nscale to Deploy About 200,000 Nvidia GB300 GPUs Across U.S. and Europe

Phased deliveries from 2026 position Nscale as a key Azure supplier across U.S.–European sovereign sites.

Overview

Nscale will deliver approximately 104,000 GB300 GPUs at a ~240MW Texas campus leased from Ionic Digital, beginning phased service to Microsoft in Q3 2026 with an option tied to a 700MW second phase from late 2027.
From Q1 2026, about 12,600 GB300 GPUs will be installed at the Start Campus facility in Sines, Portugal to provide Azure services and EU sovereign AI capacity.
Nscale and Microsoft plan the UK’s largest Nvidia AI supercomputer at the Loughton AI Campus, targeting roughly 23,000 GB300 GPUs from Q1 2027 to power Azure workloads.
The Aker–Nscale joint venture previously agreed to supply around 52,000 GB300 GPUs from Narvik, Norway, which complements the new multi‑site rollout.
Dell Technologies is collaborating on the execution, and Nscale characterizes the multi‑country agreement as among the largest AI infrastructure contracts signed.
