Microsoft Taps Nscale to Deploy About 200,000 Nvidia GB300 GPUs Across U.S. and Europe
Phased deliveries from 2026 position Nscale as a key Azure supplier across U.S.–European sovereign sites.
Overview
- Nscale will deliver approximately 104,000 GB300 GPUs at a ~240MW Texas campus leased from Ionic Digital, beginning phased service to Microsoft in Q3 2026 with an option tied to a 700MW second phase from late 2027.
- From Q1 2026, about 12,600 GB300 GPUs will be installed at the Start Campus facility in Sines, Portugal to provide Azure services and EU sovereign AI capacity.
- Nscale and Microsoft plan the UK’s largest Nvidia AI supercomputer at the Loughton AI Campus, targeting roughly 23,000 GB300 GPUs from Q1 2027 to power Azure workloads.
- The Aker–Nscale joint venture previously agreed to supply around 52,000 GB300 GPUs from Narvik, Norway, which complements the new multi‑site rollout.
- Dell Technologies is collaborating on the execution, and Nscale characterizes the multi‑country agreement as among the largest AI infrastructure contracts signed.
