Microsoft Rolls Out Xbox PC App That Unifies Game Libraries Across Storefronts

The update turns the app into a central launcher on Windows 11 through an aggregated library with a new My Apps section.

Overview

  • The Xbox app now lists and launches installed games from Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, Battle.net, Xbox and other supported sources.
  • The update is rolling out via the Microsoft Store to Windows 11 PCs and handheld devices starting today.
  • Users can hide sources in Settings under Library & Extensions, with storefront icons clarifying each game's origin.
  • A My Apps tab provides quick access to install or open third-party utilities and rival storefronts, improving controller-first handheld use.
  • Microsoft says cloud-playable titles and unified play history will sync across devices later in September through a new Jump back in list.
