Overview

• Microsoft opened early testing of Copilot for Gaming (Beta) on May 28 through the Xbox mobile app for iOS and Android in over 50 regions including the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Singapore.
• The AI assistant runs on a secondary screen without interrupting gameplay, allowing users to ask questions about their current sessions, play history and achievements via text or voice.
• Copilot draws on a user’s Xbox profile and Bing search data to recommend new titles, provide crafting recipes for games like Minecraft and offer tips for beating specific bosses.
• Beta testers can submit feedback directly in the app by grading responses or flagging inaccuracies under “Give Feedback,” which Microsoft will use to refine personalization and add proactive coaching.
• Microsoft intends to bring Copilot for Gaming to Windows PCs via the Game Bar and expand availability to more regions and platforms in the coming months.
