Microsoft Reportedly Expanding Xbox Exclusives to PlayStation and Switch in 2025

Unconfirmed reports suggest major Xbox titles like Halo and Gears of War may become available on rival platforms this year.

Multiple reports claim Microsoft is preparing to release Xbox-exclusive games, including Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025.
Other titles speculated to make the leap include Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, and Age of Mythology: Retold.
The push aligns with Microsoft's broader multiplatform strategy, which began in 2024 with games like Sea of Thieves and Hi-Fi Rush launching on non-Xbox platforms.
Industry insiders also suggest that PlayStation exclusives like Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth could arrive on Xbox in 2025 and 2026, respectively.
Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer has previously stated he sees no 'red lines' preventing Xbox games from being available on other platforms.
