Overview

  • The June 2025 Patch Tuesday release patches 66 vulnerabilities across Windows and related products, including two actively exploited zero-day flaws.
  • Microsoft halted the initial KB5060842 rollout for Windows 11 version 24H2 after discovering a compatibility issue that triggered unexpected system restarts in games using Easy Anti-Cheat.
  • A revised out-of-band update, KB5063060, is now available to restore the full suite of June security fixes on affected Windows 11 24H2 devices.
  • The bundle also addresses a Secure Boot bypass vulnerability (CVE-2025-3052) and critical remote code execution bugs in Microsoft Office, SharePoint and other core components.
  • Alongside security patches, the update brings cross-device resume for OneDrive files, enhanced HDR controls and extends system restore point retention to 60 days on Windows 11 24H2.
