  • Windows 11 version 25H2 preview builds are now available to Windows Insiders, offering the first public test of this minor update.
  • Built on the same servicing branch as 24H2, 25H2 arrives as an enablement package that activates preloaded features with only a quick restart.
  • A broad rollout is scheduled for the second half of 2025 to align with Windows 10’s end of support in October.
  • Version 25H2 will reset support clocks to 35 months for enterprise editions and 24 months for consumer and Pro editions.
  • Key additions include a black unexpected restart screen, automated quick machine recovery tools and a user-mode endpoint security platform for antivirus software.
