Overview
- Xbox began invite-only preorders on Wednesday with general preorders scheduled to open Thursday, Aug. 27 at 7 a.m. PDT through Xbox.com and participating retailers.
- The Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition will retail for $899.99 and launch Nov. 13 while the X25 Special Edition wireless controller is $79.99 and ships Oct. 20, and sales are limited to one console per customer.
- Each Series X25 is individually numbered, uses a translucent OG Green shell over a standard 1TB Series X build, and includes a digital copy of Halo: Campaign Evolved.
- Microsoft also opened preorders for a Designed for XBOX 25th Anniversary Collection from partners including Razer, Backbone, GameSir and 8BitDo, with notable items such as Razer’s mouse, keyboard and earbuds, Backbone’s blind-box Pro controller, GameSir’s $44.99 X5 Lite, and 8BitDo’s charging dock.
- The rollout leans into collector demand and nostalgia, so buyers should expect limited supply, staggered shipping in October and November, and early-invite or retailer-specific windows to determine who secures stock.
