Microsoft Notepad Gets AI-Powered Rewrite Feature

The new AI feature allows users to rephrase, adjust tone, and modify text length in the classic app, now available in preview for Windows Insiders.

Microsoft's Notepad, introduced in 1983, now includes an AI-driven Rewrite feature as part of Windows 11 updates.
The Rewrite tool offers three text variations, allowing users to change tone, format, and length based on preferences.
Currently in preview, the feature is accessible to Windows Insiders in the US, UK, France, Canada, Italy, and Germany.
Users must sign in with a Microsoft account to utilize the cloud-based Rewrite tool, which operates on a credit system.
Alongside Notepad, Microsoft Paint is also receiving AI enhancements like Generative Fill and Generative Erase for image editing.
