- Starting with Windows 11 version 24H2, all laptops seeking WHCP certification must adhere to uniform USB-C requirements.
- Certified ports must support USB Power Delivery with minimum charging outputs of 15 watts for laptops and 7.5 watts for tablets.
- USB4-capable ports are required to deliver data rates of 40 Gbps or 80 Gbps and maintain full Thunderbolt 3 compatibility.
- Every USB-C port must enable PCIe tunneling and DisplayPort Alt Mode to drive dual 4K monitors at 60 Hz.
- Manufacturers must validate compliance using Microsoft’s Windows Hardware Lab Kit before earning the WHCP badge.
