Microsoft Lifts 32GB FAT32 Partition Limit in Windows 11

The decades-old restriction is now removed in the latest Windows 11 Insider Preview Build, allowing partitions up to 2TB via command line.

The 32GB limit was originally set during Windows 95 development and remained unchanged for nearly 30 years.
The update is currently available in the Windows 11 Canary Channel and applies only to command-line formatting.
The GUI-based disk formatting tool still retains the 32GB limit, pending future updates.
This change simplifies the process of creating larger FAT32 partitions without third-party tools.
Additional enhancements in the build include improvements to Windows Sandbox and battery life optimizations.
