Microsoft Introduces 'Press to Talk' Hotkey for Copilot Voice Commands

The new Alt + Spacebar shortcut allows Windows Insiders to interact with Copilot via voice for faster and more seamless productivity.

Microsoft has rolled out a 'Press to Talk' feature for its Copilot AI, allowing users to engage in voice conversations by holding Alt + Spacebar for two seconds.
This feature is part of the latest Copilot update (version 1.25024.100.0) and is currently available to Windows Insiders through a gradual rollout.
The voice chat functionality automatically ends if no input is detected after several seconds, or users can manually exit by pressing the Esc key.
The update aims to improve productivity by enabling users to interact with Copilot without interrupting their workflow or needing to type.
The feature is expected to reach regular Windows users in future updates, pending positive feedback and testing results from the Insider program.
