Microsoft Expands Xbox Repair Options with uBreakiFix Partnership and DIY Parts

Starting January 20, Xbox owners can access in-person repairs at uBreakiFix locations, while official replacement parts are now available for purchase online.

  • Official replacement parts for Xbox Series X and S consoles are now available for purchase through the Microsoft Store and iFixit, enabling DIY repairs even for out-of-warranty devices.
  • Microsoft has eliminated single-use plastics from Xbox Series X|S packaging, switching to fully paper- and fiber-based materials as part of its broader sustainability initiatives.
  • The company is also improving energy efficiency in its consoles, with the Xbox Series S now consuming 10% less power during media playback.
