Overview

  • Gaming Copilot is now available in beta to Xbox Insiders enrolled in the PC Gaming Preview on Windows PC and select handhelds, accessed via the Game Bar using Windows + G for AI‐driven tips and a new Voice Mode.
  • Copilot 3D has launched globally in Copilot Labs, enabling users to upload JPG or PNG images under 10 MB and generate downloadable GLB-format 3D models stored for up to 28 days.
  • Both tools are free but require Insider status and regional eligibility for gaming or a personal Microsoft account for Copilot 3D, and they enforce storage caps and usage limits.
  • Microsoft’s content safeguards mandate that users upload only images they own, prohibit photos of people or copyrighted material, auto-block illegal content and allow account suspension, with no user outputs used to train its AI.
  • Early reports show Copilot 3D excels at converting static objects like furniture but is less reliable with animals and complex subjects, and Microsoft has yet to define specific hardware or cloud processing requirements.
