Overview
- Copilot now appears in the Windows 11 taskbar and can be invoked with the wake phrase “Hey Copilot,” bringing conversational control directly into the OS.
- Copilot Vision lets users share the full desktop and apps so the assistant can analyze on-screen content, answer questions, and provide voice-guided steps inside software.
- Copilot Actions can carry out tasks on local files—such as organizing photos or extracting data from PDFs—with user supervision and limited preview functionality that may err with complex interfaces.
- New connectors allow Copilot to pull from OneDrive and Outlook as well as Google Drive, Gmail and Calendar, and to export content into Word, Excel or PowerPoint while also guiding users to specific Windows settings.
- Microsoft is previewing the Manus guidance agent, which can generate outputs like a website from a local folder, and introducing Gaming Copilot for in-game assistance and NPU-powered enhancements on supported devices such as the ROG Xbox Ally.
